DAAP Mission

DAAP’s mission is to promote and advocate for the profession of addiction professionals in meeting the needs of their clients and society in general.

DAAP’s Goals:

1. Organize a constituency of professionals with unified goals in the prevention and treatment of alcoholism, drug addiction, and co-occurring disorders who primarily live and/or work in the State of Delaware;

2. Provide supportive services to the members of the Association;

3. Promote high standards of competency for those continuing employment in the field of alcoholism and drug addiction;

4. Promote and support effective and standardized continuing education in the field of alcoholism and drug addiction;

5. Promote relationships with national, state, and private associations of alcoholism and drug addiction counselors and cooperate with other organizations which share our common interests; and

6. Advocate for the recognition and promotion of the profession in public policy and law.
